Rather than using petroleum-based materials for feedstocks, this new technology utilizes CORN.

Compared to other polymeric fibers such as polyester and nylon, Sorona carpet fiber offers a softer feel, improved support, with superior dyeability, excellent washfastness and UV resistance.
